Chile Tepin Olive Oil

I make this hot spicy olive oil and add it to soups to make the soup hot and spicy. Also here are 25 Alternative Uses for Olive Oil

  • 1/2 liter, 500 ml or 17 oz ounce bottle of olive oil
  • 2 packs of chile tepins (three fourths of an ounce)

Grind up the chile tepins in a blender

Toss the ground chile tepins into the olive oil bottle and let sit for several days so the olive oil sucks up the capsicum from the chile tepins.

I don’t bother to ever remove the chile powder, because my view is the hotter the oil is the better I like it.

Make sure you don’t get the ground chili on your fingers and touch your eyes. It will burn them. And for some people with sensitive skin from what I hear the ground chili will burn your skin, although it doesn’t bother me.
