Tuna Fish and Olive Sandwich

Tuna Fish and Olive Cheese Sandwich

This is something my mom used to make us take to school and eat for lunch. Of course she didn’t add the hot chili peppers to it. Back in those days’ tuna fish was a cheap inexpensive food.

  • one 6 ounce can of tuna fish in water or oil
  • one 4 1/4 ounce can of chopped black olives or 2 1/2 ounce can of sliced black olives
  • 1 or 2 ounces of Cholula Hot Sauce (optional)
  • 4 to 6 slices of bread of any type
  • Kraft Jalapeno Cheez Whiz, Jalapeno Cheese Wiz, or jalapeno cheese spread

Drain the juice from the black olive can.

I keep the juice from the tuna can.

Mix the tuna and black olives and place it on the bread. If you like really hot stuff mix an ounce or two of Cholula Hot Sauce with the tuna and olives.

Put the Kraft Jalapeno Cheez Whiz on one or both sides of the bread.

Makes two to three sandwiches.

I guess you could use chopped or slized green olives instead of black olives. That sounds tasty too.
